Where Namor was Prince of the Blood, Krang would have been tyrant! Where Namor ruled by divine right, Krang would have ruled by terror!

The ruler of Atlantis by birthright is again on the throne. Yay for monarchy.

The story was almost over as this issue began. Dorma saved. Krang defeated. It’s been a 7-part arc, but it’s over by page 5 of this issue.

An unusual amount of full-page panels help make this story-lite issue reach 12 pages.

The old guy who’s been hanging around finally gets a name. Vashti. He’ll stick around. He’s now Lord Vashti, Grand Vizier of Atlantis.

The final page of the issue begins the next arc. An earthquake strikes Atlantis and Namor blames the Surface. This is your pretty typical Namor story going back to 1939.

Since we’ve just finished a big 7-part arc and have gotten a bit ahead of the other titles, we will take the pause and resume where this issue leaves off at a later date. We’ll also read the Hulk story from this issue at a later date.

  1. Having an older, bearded advisor with a heart of gold is another thing Namor borrowed from Aquaman.
