I did not suspect that almost all Earth beings possessed super-powers of their own!
Where were we? Triton rescued Mr. Fantastic from Sub-Space, also called the Negative Zone. Or the “Negative Zone of Sub-space”. Not to be confused with the Negative Zone which surrounded the Inhumans’ Great Refuge.
But the criminal known as Blastaar followed them through and struck an uneasy alliance with Sandman. And now… they attack!
These Super-Villain team-ups date back to Doom and Namor.
Blastaar’s thing is that explosions emit from his fingertips.
He’d never heard of fist-fighting in his dimension. But he likes it.
Stan tells us that Johnny and Crystal are talking about “the things that all young lovers have talked about since time immemorial”. I assume he is alluding to some form of sexy flirtation.
Blastaar.
Blastaar believes most Earth people possess super powers. That fits the evidence he has seen from the seven people he’s met. Basic extrapolation from data.
Thing and Sandman duke it out. Ultimately, Sandman is defeated by the sea.
And Reed defeats Blastaar through science.
Blastaar is certainly a new major villain, who will trouble our heroes for decades to come.

- Sandman whirls Thing into unconsciousness and then throws him in the water.
- Thing’s lungs also have super-human strength.
- Thing drags Sandman into water and tide carries him in several directions.
- Reed puts helmet on Blastaar that cuts off the pressure build-up in his body.
- Reed wants to study Blastaar, but needs to return him to Sub-Space.
