By my blade… it must not end like this!
As we’ve discussed, I just read these Thor back-up stories along with the Thor comic they appear in. With the main stories, I try to combine story arcs into one or otherwise think through the continuity.
Because of that, we’re just kind of reading the middle chapter of this Arabians Nights saga in isolation.
I found the story doesn’t really read any better if I tried to condense it.
So we need to remember what happened, but not much happens in these stories.
Mogul had destroyed Hogun’s people, and now Hogun and his friends have found Mogul’s Mystic Mountain, and are attacked by a Jinni.
All caught up.
The Jinni’s weakness is nighttime apparently, as he dissolves at twilight. I know a lot of people with a similar weakness.

- Picking up where the previous issue left off, Thor and his three warrior friends search for Mogul, who had destroyed Hogun’s people. Now they face a Jinni Devil.
- Jinni turns magic on warriors.
- Mogul observes battle from Zanadu.
- Jinni Devil is last of race. They are nearly extinct because of the weakness where they die if out at night.
- Mogul wields the battle standard of Hogun’s tribe he once crushed.
- Come twilight, the Jinni vanishes.
