Well do I know that ominous drumbeat! It summons the Great Black Stallion of Doom! It means the death of a mighty warrior is near at hand!

The battle is won. Harokin defeated and Muspelheim liberated.

Thor and this three warrior friends take a bath.

The drumming is an ominous portent and perhaps a summoning. The Black Stallion comes. Death is at hand.

Most warriors do not know for whom the Stallion has come and fear it is for them.

But Harokin knows.

Harokin was Thor’s enemy but still Thor treats him with honor, and mourns when he realizes his time has come.

This is a good issue, a quiet aftermath to battle, a somber meditation on death.

Harokin doesn’t die in the comic. But he knows he is about to. The Stallion has come to take him away. When last we see Harokin, he can still hold his drink. As of the final panel, the Stallion continues to approach.

The saga is not yet done. Come back next issue for the death of Harokin. This issue was about acceptance that death is coming.

I do not see a letters page for this issue, though the GCD claims there is one.
